GLEN KING
Hi, I'm Glen King and this is a little public relations
about myself. I've been writing songs for 35 years and have won many national
and international awards, including the 1985 International Songwriting
contest sponsored by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, in N.Y., The Music City Song Festival, and many American
Song Festival awards. Over the years I've been privileged to have worked
with many well known composers, including Gary Wright ("Dreamweaver"), Jim Foelber ("Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell) and
academy award nominee Allan Rich ("I Don't Have The Heart" by James Ingram) My teachers
have been some of the best in the music business: Two time academy award
winner Al Kasha, and Jack Segal, a composer of many standards ("Scarlet
Ribbons" and "When Sonny Gets Blue.") My own writing credits include songs
cut by country artists Janie Fricke, Dorsey Burnette, Johnny Penn, and Bobby Helms, to
name a few, as well as songs recorded by Gospel artists, The Northams. I also have had songs in TV's "The Big Break" and TNN Cable programs. Currently,
I have two songs on a CD by Alan Boivin titled "A Man Like Me" which is
on Imprint Records and two songs on "Honey Do This, Honey Do That" Johnny Penn's latest release on Aaron Records(2001). You can hear my song "I Can't Quit Loving You" in the 2003 movie "Roads To Riches", during the party scene. My mp3's are for sale at: "mp3 site" Besides songs on this site, I have a new site Gospel Songs which features some of my Christian songs. Also visit another of my music sites Soundclick I am a member of many music organizations such as the
Songwriters Hall of Fame (pro member),and BMI.
I am always interested in collaborating with pro composers.
